Chaplain Update
Greetings from Auburn Catholic Campus Ministry. In this time of the pestilence of COVID-19 and social disorder it is nice to write to all of the Alumni of Auburn Catholic and state we are still "living" and even though having to social distance and wearing masks, we are encountering Catholic students and non-Catholic students with the Joy of the Gospel and the beauty of the Catholic faith. Matter fact we hopefully will continue a beautiful tradition of Eucharistic Procession on the college campus in October. Instead of angry crowds, we will joyfully bring Our Lord on campus and pray for his continued presence in the lives of the students. Our newsletter has photos of some updates at Mitcham House and be assured the Frassati Chapel is still a place of daily prayer and liturgies. Matter fact, on August 15 we had our first Nuptial Mass in the chapel, which was celebrated with social distance and livestreamed to Ecuador and Spain. Both bride and groom graduate students at Auburn. They requested the Chapel since it has been a place of prayer and Catholic community for them. We hope you enjoy this alumni newsletter and hope you will continue to pray and support our Catholic ministry here on the Plains. God Bless.
